Corral Code and Protocols

Corral Code / Protocol

Corral Code:

In the old west, law was sparse and settlers needed to work together to keep society functioning. The Code of the West referred to socially agreed laws, sometimes called the cowboy code. At Guys2 Mount, a Corral Code governs our western style roundup as agreed upon rules that every COWBOY and bronco is trusted to abide by while inside the corral.
The Corral Code forms the basis for our event. If you can’t follow them, don’t buy a ticket.

Respect the Hand

  • COWBOY: Bronc’s hand up, action stops.
  • broncs: Use hand to check condom, PA or size. Raise hand to flag a wrangler

Honor a Blindfold

  • COWBOY: Honor the bronc’s blindfold: YELLOW: Safe Sex, BLUE: Bareback
  • bronco: No peeking, or removing the blindfold

Maintain your Role

  • COWBOY: Left Wrist band – COWBOYS ONLY mount broncos
  • bronco: Right Wrist band – broncos only mounted by COWBOYS

    1. Its your call. But it may be better to attend as a wrangler to help with the broncs, and Ride what you want!
volunteer for 2 shifts and you can be a bronc on your break

  1. I have a 2-day rider pass but just had the airline change my flights so I won’t arrive on day 1 by 8PM. Is it acceptable to arrive late, or should I just wait for day 2?

    1. Between 8pm and 9pm RIDER and broncs remain in the starting corrals.

Late arrivals happen for all type of reasons.
It’s an advantage that the CCBC front desk is manned 24×7.
When ever you arrive get checked in and the desk will give your your 2-day rider wrist band,
and head for a corral and wait in the RIDER Line (which is on the Left) and wait for the gate wrangler.

After 9pm, the Gate Wrangler will admit riders or broncs who are changing corral

  2. So what are the actual hours and what time would Broncs and Riders need to arrive? Also how long does this typically last?

        1. CCBC rents lockers, as well limited, ‘bring your own lock’ free lockers. If lockers sell out, a clothes check will be operated at the dutch door in the locker room.

  3. Hey – Can you please briefly describe what the harness (worn by Broncs) looks like? And – how does it go on? Thanks!
